Vegas rockers have had a busy December. Not only did they put out their annual holiday single and video, but they’ve also released two music videos for songs off their latest record, BattleBorn.
The first video is a live action animation mix for “Miss Atomic Bomb.” It returns the band to a story first introduced with “Mr. Brightside.” If you haven’t seen the video for “Mr. Brightside,” watch that first:
Now, watch the video for “Miss Atomic Bomb”:
We love how the guitar riff from “Mr. Brightside” works its way into “Miss Atomic Bomb.”
The other video is quite different from these two and is for the latest single from the band, “Here With Me.” Film director Tim Burton took the helm with one and his iconic gothic flare is stamped on it. The video also features frequent Burton muse, Winona Ryder. Check it out:
What do you think? Which new BattleBorn video is your favorite?
Washington D.C. piano rock trio Jukebox the Ghost always puts out clever and whimsical music videos and the new video for “Don’t Let Me Fall Behind” is no exception.
In this video, director Gabriel Stanley uses a projector on falling paper as the centerpiece for the video. Computer effects are minimal and as the song carries the viewer through the story, watch out for the twist ending.
The band has announced a winter tour in February. Visit jukeboxtheghost.com for full tour dates.
At SXSW, Lucius blew us away with their mirror-image stage set up, vintage sound and style and beautiful harmonies. They continue to impress us with their new music video for “Turn It Around.” Check this video out below:
Everyone’s favorite tap-dancing alternative rock band is back with yet another party of a song. Check out the new music video from Omaha’s Tilly and the Wall for their track “Defenders.”
“Defenders” is off the band’s upcoming new album, Heavy Mood. Heavy Mood is due out September 18 on Team Love records. Preorder the record here.
Passion Pit has just debuted a new music video for Gossamer tune “Constant Conversations.” The clip features actors Analeigh Tipton, Taryn Manning, Roger Guenveur Smith and Peter Bogdanovichblah. It’s decadent and vulnerable and reminds us a bit of an F. Scott Fitzgerald piece. Check out the music video for “Constant Conversations” below then let us know what you think of it in the comments.
The Killers are full out embracing epic, anthem-like classic rock with their new single “Runaways” and the new music video perfectly matches that sound.
It’s great to see the band so happy about their new music, so go ahead and check out the video for “Runaways” and we dare you not to smile along with singer Brandon Flowers. It’s almost impossible.
The band has also revealed the album cover for their upcoming album, Battle Born. Check out the mustang facing mustang mashup below:
Love her or hate her, Lana del Rey knows how to get people talking about her.
Her new video “National Anthem” will definitely be another discussion provoker with her portrayals of famous historical figures Jackie O, Marilyn Monroe and more. Starring opposite of her is A$AP Rocky acting as figures such as JFK.
Lana del Rey’s music/personal has a nostalgic 50/60′s style to it, but with a modern twist. Her video also embodies that nostalgic vibe with a grainy, film style and the choice of historical characters to portray.
Watch “National Anthem” below. What do you think? Is this a great homage or something different?
Driver Friendly’s new video for “Messidona” shows the band channeling their inner Tom Hanks. In this catchy tune, the band takes on the actor’s roles from classic films such as Forrest Gump, Toy Story, Saving Private Ryan and more. Watch “Messidona” and see how many Tom Hanks films you can recognize.
“Messidona” is off Driver Friendly’s Bury a Dream, the follow up to Chase the White Whale. Bury a Dream is filled with catchy, energetic pop rock tunes that discuss the band’s growth as people and as musical artists at a crossroads in life.
