Preview: Dawes at the Crossroads in Kansas City; Rescheduled to Monday

Update: Due to severe weather forecasted Saturday, this concert has been postponed until Monday, August 27. Tickets from Saturday will be honored at the rescheduled date.

LA-based Americana rockers Dawes are coming to Kansas City this weekend and its one of this weekend’s best bets.

The band will be playing an outdoor show at the Crossroads at Grinder’s Saturday, August 25. They’re joined by William Elliott Whitmore and one of Kansas City’s finest, Quiet Corral. Tickets are still available at crossroadskc.com.

Dawes has been busy touring with Mumford and Sons in support of their 2011 album, Nothing Is Wrong, and playing the festival circuit. For a taste of what to expect at their Kansas City show, check out this Bonnaroo performance of single “If I Wanted Someone” below:
